Catoctin Creek Roundstone Rye 92 pf 55.4% abv. Cubillo and ZaconiaFounded by Scott and Becky Harris in Loudoun County, Virginia in 2009. This 92 proof version of their award winning 100% rye whisky is a vatting of barrels selected for their superior development in cask, and it brings a lot to the party. Initial aromas of dusty earth and toasted rye give way to fresh pears, coconut and banana, vanilla, clove and almond paste. Mouthfeel is lean and assertive, with some nice round stone fruit notes in the mid palate.
