This thumbscrew is necessary to secure the ribbons onto their spindles otherwise when you carry the typewriters the ribbons fall out in the case

The case still perfectly protects the projector but I don't use the handles to carry it anymore

This is a great cold war era coffee pot was made by Guardian Service in the 1950's. The pot is cast hammered aluminum with a molded bakelite handle, stainless steel inserts and the original domed oven proof glass lid that displays the Guardian Ware knight logo on both sides above crossed battle axes.
