Soft Circle started as the solo project of Hisham Akira Bharoocha after he left the experimental band Black Dice in 2004. Bharoocha started out making tribal electronic ambient soundscapes that forged paths between the spirit world and the human clans of the past and present using looping equipment, electronics, drums, and voice. His recent music is still based on this fascination with repetition, cyclical rhythms, and
